How to make a Share folder prompt for username password in XP



1-   Enable Guest Account

>     “ Start “ Menu ->
>     “ Control Panel “ ->
>     “ User Accounts” ->
>     Click on “ Guest Account “ and make sure it activate
>     Close Control Panel

2-   Set Password for Guest Account
>     “Start” Menu ->
>     “All Program” ->
>     “Accessories” ->
>     “Command Prompt” ->
>     Type “ Net user guest password “ and press “Enter”
>     Open Guest Account again and Click “ Change Password ”

3-   Share Folder
>     Right Click on Folder or Partition want to share
>     “ Sharing and Security ”
>     Check on “ Share this folder on the Network ”

When other computer in your network want to access you sharing will need Uasername and password.
